1941 Westclox with Animated Sweet Pea and Popeye

SKU: WX313
  • Model: Vintage Modified

    Manufacturer: Clock Westclox

Details: This March, 1941 Big Ben has been converted into an animated alarm clock featuring Popeye and little Sweet Pea. The scene on this clock is based on the scarce original made by Smiths Alarm from England. It is a very solid, well made alarm clock. You can still find originals online for about $450.

Condition: This guy has been completely overhauled. It needed several bushings and a new mainspring. It runs very well. The nickel trim is in decent shape. No cracks in the base. There are few minor scratches on the lens, but they are not terrible. The satin metallic light blue paint is very nice. The art deco looks really compliments the scene and looks a bit neater than the english version.

    Dimensions: 5" dia. approx.
